Lactation Energy Bites: No Bake Protein Ball Recipe

Let me start out by saying:

πŸ“’ There is no substitute for frequent and efficient milk removal and no amount of quick fixes or recipes can fix a milk supply without these actions. πŸ“’

There are, however; instances where milk supply could use a little boost. Some of these examples are when returning to work and switching from mostly nursing to mostly pumping, when your cycle returns and during growth spurts. There are many products marketed for this reason but here is a recipe for lactation bites that includes mostly ingredients you probably already have at home.

Recipe

1 cup of rolled oats

2-3 TBSP of nut butter

1/4 cup local honey

1/2 tsp vanilla extract

2 TBSP ground flax meal

Mix ingredients together and roll into balls
Refrigerate overnight

This is just the basic recipe, you can change up the ratios according to personal preference and honestly I usually just eyeball it (it’s pretty fool proof) The variations to this recipe are endless and listed below are some options πŸ‘‡

Optional Add Ins:

Cocoa Powder

Dark Chocolate Chips

Carab nibs

Craisins

Raisins

Brewer’s Yeast

Coconut Flakes

Coconut Oil

Dates

Dried Blueberries
